Best Job in the World

What is the best Job in the World?
Well, everybody has to decide this for him self.

One of the best Jobs for sure is to surf on the ASP Tour as a Professional Surfer. As you know, only the best 44 can do this and live their dream. For the rest of us it remains a dream and we can only watch the live webcasts during office hours ;-).

But maybe your dream is to live on a remote island in the Australian Great Barrier Reef in a 3-Bedroom-Villa with all comfort and get paid 200.000 Bucks a year?

Stop dreaming! and apply for the job: The best job in the World
If I haven’t convinced you yet, here are some more details, but first watch the video:

  • Job Description: Hang around by your pool, zip some cocktails and explore the Reef (If you get really bored you can feed the fish or join the aerial! post service)
  • Tell the whole world how lucky you are to have the best job in the world
  • Bring your family or friends if you like them to join you in your villa
  • Learn snorkeling, diving and other Outdoor activities
  • Explore the Great Barrier Reef

But where is the Hook?

There is no Hook! You just have to do a 60 second video, why you are the most qualified person for the job! Well I’m in.

Seven European Surfers on the WCT-Tour

Kelly Slater has won the last event of the year, the Billabong Pipeline Masters. So the ASP Tour 2008 is history and we are all looking forward to the 2009 tour.

For me as a European and especially as a German I am more than happy that for the first time in history a German Surfer made it on the tour! Marlon Lipke who is a former ASP Junior Champion and by no doubt the best German Surfer at the moment qualified for 2009. He made his way through the 2008 WQS and finished 16. So with Marlon six other european Surfers qualified for the next year. This is also a record and shows the increasing competitiveness of the European Surf-Scene.

The following Euro-Fighters qualified:

Jeremy Flores (FRA)
ASP World Tour No. 18 in 2008
Miky Picon (FRA)
ASP World Tour No. 40 in 2008
Aritz Aranburu (EUK) INJURY WILDCARD
ASP WQS No. 3
Michel Bourez (PYF)
ASP WQS No. 11
Tim Boal (FRA)
ASP WQS No. 13
Tiago Pires (PRT)
ASP WQS No. 16
Marlon Lipke (DEU) WILDCARD
